Duration

The duration of the Mommy Makeover procedure can vary depending on the patient and the individual wishes. Factors such as the size of the area to be liposuctioned and the patient’s own fat percentage all play a decisive role. For example, liposuction can be completed in a matter of 30 minutes, while other areas of the body can involve an operation lasting up to 4 hours. If additional lifting should be performed in the area, the operation may also be extended.

Hospitalization

For minor procedures, patients can leave the clinic already one day after the procedure. However, the procedure more often requires further observation, which is often the case especially with extended liposuction procedures. In this case, the patients are kept under observation for up to 3 days. The patient will be accommodated in the Quirónsalud Málaga Hospital and will be provided with the best possible care.

Anesthesia

A Mommy Makeover usually takes place under general anesthesia. The anesthesia is induced by an anesthesiologist from our experienced anesthesia staff.

Dr. Felipe Schmitt Sánchez will be performing the surgery in the certified operating rooms of the Hospital Quirónsalud Málaga.

Results

The results can be seen immediately, although it will take approximately up to one month before the patient can return to their normal routine.
